Our Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage Course is run over 2 days.
Lomi Lomi is an outstanding healing massage that originates from the master healers of Hawaii. The Hawaiian Philosophy Huna, meaning secret, refers to the ancient esoteric wisdom and teachings of Polynesia. Specialised healers work with the powers of the mind, bodywork and the forces of nature. The Huna philosophy believes that everything and everybody seeks love and harmony. Lomi Lomi is also called ‘Loving Hands Massage’. It integrates healing and massage that works deeply into our muscles. The massage is performed with a loving attitude and heart and long, flowing strokes that feel like gentle waves rolling over the body, inducing deep relaxation.
A qualification in full body massage. Students must be 18 years or older.
Course date changed – now on November 8th and 9th, 2019 (originally October)
Flowing with the energy helps to relax and to let go at all levels. Limiting beliefs, thinking patterns, behaviours and negative experiences are stored in all cells of our body. Lomi Lomi facilitates healing on all levels – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Physical tension is released, blood and lymph flow increased, the elimination of waste products is stimulated, and energy pathways are unblocked.
A Lomi Lomi treatment usually starts with a little ritual – for example stillness followed by a prayer, blessing or invocation and chakra balancing. The practitioner uses forearms, hands and elbows to massage their client with fluid, rhythmic movements. It is difficult, if not impossible, for the brain to focus on more than one area of the body at a time, and therefore the massage assists in relaxing totally.
